These best friends forever met in the Pastry Program at Kendall College in 2009. After navigating the demanding program side-by-side, they graduated with expertise in cake decorating, pastry, chocolates, breads, and even fine dining desserts.
Post-graduation, they spent years in the industry working in various bakeries and restaurants. After several years in Chicago, they found themselves working on different sides of the country. But even with thousands of miles separating them, they knew that they needed to be side-by-side again to live out their shared dream of opening their own bakeshop.
The Bakeshop - Washington est. 2016
After years of planning and relocating to Washington, they were finally together and ready to make their dream a reality. The idea of The Bakeshop was born to fill the missing space in the bakery world of timeless and loved desserts without the fuss of ever changing trends and “specialties”. The Bakeshop is built on the idea of the classics and childhood favorites done right.

Today The Bakeshop is a special order bakery serving the whole Puget Sound area. We bake out of a local certified kitchen for all birthdays, weddings, farmers markets, and special events. The Bakeshop makes all of our desserts from scratch using local, all-natural ingredients.
We've been working tirelessly toward our dream of opening a brick and mortar store front. We can’t wait for The Bakeshop to be a warm, welcoming place to come with your favorite people and grab an amazing treat and most importantly, coffee!
